Age Verification
All persons who appear in any visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct were 18 years of age or older at the time such depictions were created. Primary producers of such content have certified the ages of the performers through government-issued photo identification and maintain the corresponding records.
Definitions
- Primary Producer: As defined by 28 C.F.R. § 75.1(c), the person who actually films, photographs, or creates the visual depiction.
- Secondary Producer: As defined by 28 C.F.R. § 75.1(d), a person who publishes, compiles, or reissues the depiction without participating in the original creation.
- Sexually Explicit Conduct: As defined by 18 U.S.C. § 2256(2) and related regulations.
Third-Party Content, Embeds & Links
Some pages include embedded videos or images hosted by third-party platforms, or outbound links to those platforms. In such cases, the primary producer and/or the third-party platform maintains the records required by § 2257 for the content they host. Requests regarding those records should be directed to the applicable producer or platform.
